Have you ever been so tired, frustrated, hurt or angry that you thought you’d never recover? It seems that so many of God’s people are walking around like that these days. And yet, through the scriptures – the life, death and resurrection of Jesus we are promised so much more in this life and in the life to come.
Psalm 46 is one of those reminders. I invite you to read it in its entirety today and in the days ahead that cause you to seek #refuge. Psalm 46:1-2 reminds us:
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear…” (NIV)
Psalm 46:10 continues:
“Be still, and know that I am God!”
What would life look like if we truly trusted God to be our #refuge and our strength? What if instead of fussing, fighting, complaining and crawling away and hiding we sought the God who gave us life and who seeks to give us abundant life?
Gracious God, in the midst of all that is life, remind us that we have a #refuge in you. We need only be still and know!
