
Jasmine Rose Smothers is committed to “Inspire. Create. Encourage.” for transformational leadership. Rev. Jasmine serves as an ordained minister, preacher, workshop leader, leadership consultant, Birkman Certified Consultant, program developer for non-profit leaders, and Lead Pastor of the historic Atlanta First United Methodist Church.
In her previous role as the Associate Director for Congregational Vitality through the Connectional Ministries Office of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, Rev. Jasmine focused on increasing the vitality of existing congregations; developing and resourcing multi-ethnic and black congregations; cross-cultural and cross-racial appointment support; and leadership development in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church and beyond.
Jasmine is the co-author of The Washington Post best-selling book, Not Safe For Church: Ten Commandments for Reaching New Generations and Blank Slate: Write Your Own Rules for a Twenty-Second Century Church Movement. She has served urban and suburban congregations in several capacities. As a coach, consultant, and clergy leader, Rev. Jasmine lives out her call to “Inspire. Create. Encourage.”
